This is a custom ornament that I designed and created for Christmas 2021, I made 45 of these for my client! They are made from CEDAR and turned out beautiful! Every one is different.

About Me
My passion and desire to create new and beautiful things has taken me in some unique and varied directions! I am an artist, and a writer, self-publishing my ABC book (a book for children of ALL ages!) in 2015.
I double majored in Art and Business at Truman State University (Class of 2002) and I've continued to do art, and other creative ventures like marketing and website design over the past few years.

In 2019, I was substitute teaching at the local school and ultimately still searching…trying to figure out my next moves financially when my life partner/best guy, Ben, went into business for himself, and a whole new set of creative opportunities came into my life! It’s been so exciting and challenging for both of us. He operates a workshop with a laser cutter/engraver, (as well as many other tools) and we love designing new products together! He is a guitar guy and has his own guitar parts business, VanDyke-Harms as well as his business, Van Dyke Innovations where he offers CAD design and custom laser work.
When the pandemic hit, like most everyone, our life kind of flipped upside down! I spent the time when the world was “shut down” designing and producing brand new products and setting up a new business!
In partnership with Ben, I am able to come up with jewelry designs from scratch, and create any design I can dream up! I am now able to program and operate the laser myself, then hand paint, finish, and assemble the earrings and leather bracelets you see for sale here. If you have an idea and you don’t see it here, contact me directly and there’s a good chance we can make it happen!!
I also do commissioned art and marketing pieces. I work mostly in watercolor and acrylic paint and I really enjoy doing commissions! I’ve recently completed a painting that will be on a BOOK COVER! Fun!
I love working with different shapes, colors, and wood types. It’s an artist’s dream for me! Endless creativity.

My two daughters, Maya and Lily, are also a big part of my business. They help me sometimes with painting earrings, making up their own designs, and helping at vendor shows. They have even started their own brand, called “Upcycled” where they use old or broken jewelry to make brand new creations!
